ABOUT THE ROLE
Home-Start Norfolk is seeking a passionate and proactive Volunteer Engagement Co-ordinator to lead the recruitment, engagement and retention of volunteers who provide vital support to families across Norfolk.
The successful candidate will have experience in recruiting, developing and supporting volunteers, alongside excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be confident in building positive relationships with a diverse range of individuals and organisations, and be committed to promoting equality, inclusion and community engagement. Most importantly, you will be motivated by helping volunteers make a meaningful difference to the lives of local families.
This is a key role within the organisation, requiring enthusiasm, creativity, energy and a highly organised approach. You will be responsible for ensuring Home-Start Norfolk attracts, trains and retains skilled, committed and motivated volunteers to meet increasing service demand. In addition, this post is responsible for ensuring a quality service is offered, through training and developing volunteering opportunities, and providing ongoing support for new and existing volunteers.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will play an important part in ensuring our volunteer programme remains effective, supportive and impactful, enabling volunteers to achieve positive outcomes for the families we work with and ensure that the experience of volunteering for Home-Start Norfolk is the best it can be.
The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, with the child and adult barred lists.
