We are excited to be in the position of recruiting a Senior Adviser to supervise and support our advice services based at our Great Yarmouth Hub, which includes advice drop-in’s three days a week where young people can get support on a wide range of issues without the need for an appointment.

We are looking for an innovative individual with the ability and drive to support shaping MAP services in Great Yarmouth. We have recently moved to a new building and the successful candidate will take the lead on promoting and delivering our established advice drop-in service at our new site.

You will also have experience in delivering person centred advice and interventions to young people in areas including, housing, mental health, debt, benefits, employment and other issues that impact young people. You will have experience of line management and will coordinate and manage skilled advisers.

You will be able to work autonomously to provide day-to-day supervision of a team providing drop-in services, while maintaining excellent communication with the teams based in our Kings Lynn and Norwich Hubs to support the standardisation and streamlining of services across the county.

The role will require regular contribution to the development of MAPs Advice Services via fortnightly management meetings and monthly service team meetings. Line management and the provision of initial safeguarding consultations are also key aspects of the role.

Please note: The role requires working until 6.00 pm on drop-in days due to our hub opening times and one 7.00 pm finish each week. It also requires working one day a week in Norwich, with travel expenses covered.

This role requires a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
