ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

Our charity is based in Norfolk, established by two patients and their breast cancer nurse specialist in 2007, to offer patient-led support and information to women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer or who have discovered that they have a hereditary breast cancer gene and faced with breast reconstruction surgery.

Our support offering is tailored to the person, rightly so. We listen first and then offer the support we think best suits their needs at often a difficult and overwhelming time. They have their own individual concerns, so we want to ensure we make them feel like an individual. This could be offering them to attend a support group, watch our real-life surgery results on our website, talking to one of our volunteers over the phone or attend our monthly online mindfulness sessions. Our support could be a one off but can be over a number of months pre and post-surgery, we know reconstruction is not right for everyone so we want to offer support so each person can make the best informed choice for them.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Fundraising Officer to organise, promote and manage a range of fundraising activities in line with the yearly fundraising target from various income streams including:

  • Internal events
  • Corporate fundraising
  • Wills and legacies
  • Community fundraising
  • Grants

You will work alongside the Volunteer & Support Officer and Development Manager as part of a small team to deliver the fundraising aspect of the charity in a very rewarding role.

You will need to be motivated and reliable, with strong administrative, IT and organisational skills in order to help the charity office and support groups operate at their best and deliver its fundraising objectives.  A good knowledge of using social media platforms is also required.

As this involves attending events a car is required.
