A community advisor facilitates and empower carers and to achieve the greatest degree of choice, control, independence, and quality of life as possible to maintain their caring role.
An Advisor’s role is to provide support to unpaid adult carers within the community to continue their caring role, we do this through providing information, advice and guidance, wellbeing support, access to breaks and peer support opportunities, emergency planning and links into other preventative services.
Advisors will undertake support planning and reviews with carers. They will work with carers enabling them to increase their resilience, build on strengths and develop their personal networks in the community helping them to sustain their caring role.
This is a rewarding role with the Carer at the heart of everything we do. There is also a level of computer work involved and so the successful candidate will require a high level of IT skills.
