Following retirement, Home-Start Norfolk is seeking an inspirational, values-led Chief Executive Officer to lead our charity through its next stage of development and impact.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join a respected local charity supporting families across Norfolk. Working closely with our Board of Trustees, staff team and volunteers, the CEO will provide strategic, operational and financial leadership, ensuring Home-Start Norfolk continues to deliver high-quality, safe and effective support for families when they need it most.
About the Role
As Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering our strategy, strengthening our sustainability and ensuring our services remain responsive to the needs of children, families and communities. You will lead our staff and volunteer teams, support strong governance, oversee finance and risk, develop income opportunities and represent Home-Start Norfolk with partners, funders and the wider community.
A key part of the role will be providing strategic leadership for volunteering, including volunteer recruitment, induction, training, retention, recognition and long-term workforce planning. You will help ensure volunteers feel valued, supported and able to make a meaningful difference to families across Norfolk.

- An experienced senior leader with the ability to set direction, inspire others and deliver organisational priorities.
- Someone with strong financial, governance and risk management skills.
- A confident relationship-builder who can work effectively with trustees, staff, volunteers, funders, partners and community stakeholders.
- A leader with understanding of the charity, voluntary or mission-led sector and a commitment to high-quality, inclusive services.
- Someone who understands the importance of volunteer recruitment, retention and strategy in delivering sustainable community impact.
- A compassionate and credible ambassador who shares our commitment to supporting families and improving outcomes for children.
