We have a wide range of services delivering exceptional outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and their families and are looking to develop and diversify to increase both our support and geographical spread. We have 50 Charity shops and innovative fundraising operations that are a vital source of non-statutory funding.
As CEO you will provide clear strategic vision, direction and leadership for Break and motivate the workforce to deliver excellence in all that they do. You will ensure that the Board and Break’s managers are aware of all relevant developments within the sector as well as any new governance requirements (including safeguarding obligations). The CEO is ultimately responsible for ensuring Break is financially solvent.
The ideal Chief Executive Officer candidate:
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to lead a large and complex organisation through change, You will think creatively, being a role model, and have a track record of motivating others to strive for excellence. You will be a charismatic, agile individual who is as comfortable at business meetings as s/he is seeking the views of young people.
The Chief Executive Officer will be able to demonstrate the charity’s values to the whole organisation, leading and promoting a culture of learning, continuous improvement and ongoing development that demonstrates the positive difference the organisation makes in the lives of everyone it supports.
Break employs over 450 staff has 900 volunteers is IIP Gold accredited and has featured prominently in the Times Best Companies list. Break has an exceptional training provision for internal and external customers and has a reputation for being interactive, innovative and high quality.
