About Us
Norwich Door to Door is a local charitable organisation operating affordable, fully accessible transport services for people with severe mobility problems.
We are looking for a part-time Bookings Co-ordinator and Office Administrator who is reliable and motivated and will bring positivity to our friendly team.
Role Overview
As a Bookings Co-Ordinator & Office Administrator you will be providing a welcoming experience by telephone and e-mail for all passenger requests.
You will work closely with the Operations Manager and Community Engagement & Fundraising Manager to ensure we provide a flexible high-quality service in accordance with equal opportunities, health and safety, and the stated aims and objectives of Norwich Door to Door.
Principal Tasks & Responsibilities
- To receive journey requests from passengers and input onto our database.
- To schedule journey requests to best suit the passenger needs and practicalities
- To liaise with passengers to advise them of journey times.
- To reconcile cash on a daily basis.
- To resolve administrative problems and enquiries.
- To prepare monthly statistics for local authority reporting.
- To inform volunteers and staff of their allocated roles for the following day.
- To record any changes to passengers’ needs in accordance with health and safety policy and best practice.
- To monitor relevant inboxes.
- To undertake and maintain all relevant training as required (MiDAS, PATS, First Aid, etc).
- To be aware of the content and comply with Norwich Door to Door’s Health and Safety and Risk Assessment policies.
- To promote and support Norwich Door to Door’s fundraising campaigns and initiatives as requested throughout the year.
- To volunteer and participate in Norwich Door to Door fundraising events and passenger trips.
About You
We are seeking someone with:
- a good knowledge and understanding of the Charity sector (essential)
- an education to GCSE / GCSE level (essential)
- excellent writing and mathematics skills (essential)
- proficient skills in Microsoft Office 365 and a good understanding of databases (essential)
- good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills (essential)
- excellent customer service skills (essential)
- a clean driving licence held over 2 years (essential) with a D1 category (desirable)
Experience in the charity sector is essential, whilst experience in community engagement would be advantageous.
