We are excited to be in the position of recruiting an adviser to join our busy Advice Services; supporting advice delivery in our drop-in’s, ongoing advice project work and countywide advice enquiries. Our advisers provide impartial and confidential advice and guidance for young people aged 11-25 across Norfolk, on a wide range of issues including; employment, money, debt, housing and sexual health.
Our service is person centred, providing young people with the knowledge and tools required to make informed choices and access services and support.
Our highly skilled and professional team use trauma-informed approaches to help young people to address and resolve their problems, whilst supporting their aspirations and their transition into adulthood.
We are looking for a part time adviser to work on our Up+ project, providing IPS (Individual Placement Support) Employment Advice to young people.
The adviser we are looking for to work on this project will:
- Have experience in working one-to-one with young people aged 11-25.
- Experience in advising and coaching young people around employability.
- Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail (diary management, admin tasks, responding to employers and external professionals) to manage the demands of a dynamic caseload.
- Be driven to work to the project targets set and complete caseload monitoring data on a very regular basis.
- Have a strong networking skillset.
The successful candidate will be provided with training on the IPS model in order to support this work with young people.
This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
