About the role

This a new role in our organisation. The purpose of the role is to provide advice and support to people with learning disabilities to enable them to access the services and the help they need to enable them to live safe, fulfilling and independent lives.

You will work with people on an individual basis, but you will also work with self-advocacy groups to enable people to have their voices heard. You will also enable people with Learning Disabilities to take the lead in solving their own problems and getting advice and support. You will need to have a good knowledge of advice and support services available in Norfolk. You will also need to be able to self-manage and to keep accurate and correct records of your work for monitoring purposes.

You will also need to have experience of recruiting and managing volunteers to support you to deliver the role.

As this is a new role, there will be lots of scope to develop your ideas about how the role could be delivered and create new partnerships and projects, so some experience of getting funding for projects would be an advantage.
