The DBS reduce their fees from 5th October 2026

As a public body, every year the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) examine their fees and then charge accordingly, based on the cost of providing those services and products; this year they have been able to reduce their prices!

From  October 5th 2026, the following DBS fees will apply:

  • Basic DBS check: £20.00 (reduced from £21.50)
  • Standard DBS check: £20.00 (reduced from £21.50)
  • Enhanced DBS check: £41.00 (reduced from £49.50)
  • Update Service subscription: £15.00 per year (reduced from £16.00)

(Volunteer applications remain unaffected)
