Norwich Samaritans is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Growth Coordinator to help expand our volunteer network and promote the invaluable work we do.

Role Overview:

As Volunteer Growth Coordinator, you’ll be at the forefront of our efforts to recruit and support volunteers. Working closely with the Branch Leadership Team, you’ll lead day-to-day recruitment tasks, organise community events, and provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our volunteer programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day tasks in volunteer recruitment, working closely with the Branch Leadership Team.
  • Work with the Leadership and Recruitment teams to develop and implement a targeted Volunteer Growth action plan.
  • Organise Norwich Samaritans’ participation in local community events to promote volunteering opportunities.
  • Collaborate with trainers to ensure adequate training opportunities for potential volunteers.
  • Provide ongoing administrative support to the recruitment team, including coordinating volunteer numbers using designated platforms.
  • Organise briefing sessions for potential volunteers to introduce them to Norwich Samaritans and the volunteer journey.
  • Stay updated on new resources and program initiatives provided by Central Office and implement them as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in volunteer recruitment or a related field.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to the values of Norwich Samaritans.
