An amazing opportunity has arisen to join us at Norfolk and Waveney Mind, the county’s leading Mental Health services provider; as a Trainee Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner.
You will be part of a team working towards improving access to evidence based mental health interventions for Children, Young People and their Families.
Trainee Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner’s will deliver low intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions for children and young people, including: behavioural treatments for anxiety; guided parent-led self-help and behavioural activation for depression. They will be distinct roles within the young people’s team. The post holder will receive clinical supervision relevant to their training and opportunities to work with fellow CWP’s.
This is a training position and so all candidates will need to apply for both the trainee role at Norfolk and Waveney Mind and the UCL Post Graduate Certificate in Child and Young Persons Psychological Wellbeing Practice at the same time to be considered and shortlisted (for more information about the course and minimum entry criteria, please see the course page: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/graduate/taught-degrees/child-young-persons-psychological-wellbeing-practice-pg-cert). Attendance on the course will be for up to three days per week and will be a blended mix of online learning, attendance at the university campus in London and assignments. You will need to be prepared to travel to London whilst training as well as travelling across Norfolk and Waveney when working as part of the team. Trainees will work face to face and virtually with children, young people and families
