This is a new and exciting strategic role supporting and strengthening the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in Norfolk.

About the Role:
The Strategic Engagement Manager will work within the Voluntary Norfolk Communities Team which provides support to the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE) across Norfolk. The team works across several sector support projects and programmes, namely the Empowering Communities (EC) programme, and the Momentum support service to the children and young people’s sector.
Voluntary Norfolk (VN) is lead partner for the EC partnership programme, working collaboratively with four other local sector support partners to deliver a coordinated programme of support and events to benefit the wide range of VCSE organisations across Norfolk, including many volunteer-led grassroots groups. Momentum supports VCSE organisations to work effectively with young people aged 11-19 and up to 25 with SEND. It has been part of Voluntary Norfolk since 2018 and works with a range of organisations from volunteer-led youth clubs to large regional youth charities. It also coordinates the Voluntary Sector Forum for Children, Young People and Families, which enables the sector to contribute towards strategic changes that will make children and young people’s lives better, including through Norfolk’s Flourishing in Norfolk Strategy, Prevention and Early Help Strategy and the Partnership Youth Strategy. https://www.momentumnorfolk.org.uk/who-we-are/
As Strategic Engagement Manager you will be responsible for managing the delivery of this broad sector support programme, central to which is delivering effective engagement strategies for understanding the needs of the sector, and shaping the support offers accordingly. You will line manage our two Networks and Events Officers who develop and coordinate the Voluntary Norfolk and Youth Work Networks, and develop and organise the event programmes, and our part time freelance data analyst.
You will work closely with the Infrastructure Support Manager, who manages the Voluntary Sector Forum for Children, Young People and Families and the Communities Manager, who oversees the Volunteer Centre.
