The Opportunity – Norfolk and Waveney mind are excited to be developing a brand-new support service in Thetford and the surrounding area. Working within the CHIME framework, Rest in the Community will deliver not only hub-based support, advise and recovery focused workshops but will also work in and with the surrounding areas and community to give support, advice and workshops to those that can’t reach us.

The Role – The successful applicants will be committed to delivering excellent support to those accessing Rest in the Community support, be able to work within a team and be responsive and adaptive to change.

This role will sit within the Rest in the Community team, delivering one-to-one and group recovery-focused support to clients accessing our Service, online and face-to-face.

Peer support workers use their lived experience to help clients make sense of their experiences, and help them identify the people, places and strategies that keep them well.

If you would like to use your lived experience of mental health issues to support others, are well organised and have a full driving license, and have access to your own vehicle we would love to hear from you.
