We are looking for an enthusiastic Recruitment & Training Coordinator to join Norwich Samaritans. If you would like to use your relevant experience and skills to benefit a long-standing, and well-respected Norwich based charity, then we want to hear from you!

Norwich Samaritans is a busy charity led by a senior management team of Branch Director, Trustees and Deputy Directors. Around 180 Listening and Support Volunteers are based at our city-centre branch, and a further 40 Volunteers help run the charity’s two shops, together with a small number of staff. This role would work to help and support the leadership team and volunteers as they deliver the charity’s non-judgemental, 24/7 listening service and various other services within the community.

As Recruitment and Training Coordinator you will work collaboratively to lead and coordinate the development and delivery of a recruitment and training strategy with measurable targets to achieve an increase in volunteer numbers.

You will work with the Branch Leadership Team and Branch Operations Manager to recruit and train volunteers to the highest possible standard involving support to deliver a wide programme of activities and events.

As Recruitment and Training Coordinator you will work directly with our dedicated volunteer teams to establish new initiatives and enhance existing programmes for engaging potential volunteers, while also coordinating the delivery of exceptionally high-quality Samaritans training.

You will need to be enthusiastic about establishing relationships with key stakeholders and different groups within the community to promote our volunteer programme.

What makes this role unique?

The impact you’ll have in this role is huge. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to develop our existing volunteer programme and increase our service capacity. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for recruitment and training in the charity sector. Join a purpose-driven organisation and make a valuable contribution to the next chapter of Norwich Samaritans.
