At Norfolk and Waveney Mind, we work hard to help people recover from mental health problems and develop resilience for the future. We are a leading mental health charity operating Norfolk and Waveney wide, providing services which make a real difference to people’s lives. We are a flexible and supportive employer providing excellent supervision and a good training package.
We are looking for Recovery Support Workers working wake in night shifts, to join our team of staff providing support to those living in our residential rehabilitation service. The successful candidates will support people, using recovery and trauma informed skills, as they make sense of their experiences and achieve their recovery goals.
Applicants need to have a good knowledge of mental health and positive wellbeing and have an understanding of the issues that arise in supporting people to engage with the recovery process. Having an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential or willing to work towards it.
We will provide an excellent training programme including recovery work, trauma informed practice and a 3 day comprehensive induction to your new role. The hours of work are over a two-week rota; and will require you work permanent wake in night shifts as part of the regular rota pattern for which enhanced pay will be made.
If you have your own experience of recovery, we would especially like to hear from you.
