Clinks Care Farm Ltd. is an award winning care farm and social enterprise in Toft Monks, near Beccles. Disadvantaged people use the natural environment and farming activities for therapeutic purposes, recovery and day care. We have a variety of livestock and a large market garden. Our own produce is sold from the farm shop, through a veg box scheme, at farmers markets and local outlets.
We are looking for an energetic, pro-active and experienced market gardener to manage and to develop our 3 acre market garden and orchards, plan the growing season and grow quality vegetables in a sustainable way to supply our farm shop, veg box scheme, to supply local outlets and our stall at the local farmers market
The right candidate will have skills and experience in growing a variety of vegetables including top fruit. You will have knowledge and experience improving soil fertility, crop rotations and succession growing. Ideally you will be skilled in using horticultural and small tractor machinery but for the right candidate training will be provided.
You will be a good communicator and team player and manage a team of volunteers. You will be able to provide opportunities for people to be part of your team and participate in the work.
You will be working closely with the produce sales coordinator and plant propagator and receive support and supervision from the farm manager.
Annualised Hours (34 hrs p/w March till October – 22.5 hours p/w November till February)
