Norfolk Community Law Service is a registered charity dedicated to providing access to justice and equality in Norfolk. Our Debt Advice service is aimed at vulnerable people or those with complex needs, including offenders, ex-offenders and people with mental health conditions although it will provide assistance to anyone who has a money problem.
We are looking for a Casework Assistant to support the Debt Advice Manager and Adviser with the running of this service including; booking clients in for appointments and taking initial information; providing support and guidance to volunteers; sending letters to creditors; and completing reports for funders.
The Caseworker Assistant will also provide advice and advocacy at our Rent Mediation sessions, assisting Norwich City Council tenants to come to affordable agreements to pay back rent arrears to prevent possession action.
Whilst basic debt advice knowledge is essential the successful applicant will be required to attend relevant training.
