Contact nameYolly Southgate, Welfare Rights and Advice Team Manager

Equal Lives is a membership organisation led by people who face disabling barriers, and we advocate the social model of disability. Our advice and information services provide disabled people with the help they need to secure their rights and to access services. We also provide advocacy services to enable disabled people to have their voices heard. We support people to empower themselves to live independent lives and we are very involved in campaigning on issues that affect disabled people. We try to influence policy decisions at local and national level to improve the lives of disabled people.

This is a key role in our recently created Welfare Rights and Advice team. A significant amount of the advice we provide is done so by our highly valued volunteers. Therefore, a key purpose of this role is to support the Team Manager to co-ordinate the work of the advice volunteers so that they can provide the best service to our clients. The role is also going to provide key support to the Team Manager in the running and development of our advice services offer, so it’s an exciting time to join the journey and make your mark.

If you would like an informal discussion about the role please contact Welfare Rights and Advice Team Manager Yolly Southgate
